Battle Creek split the series against Traverse City after defeating the Pit Spitters 12-8, breaking their win streak and earned their sixth win of the season. La Crosse broke St. Cloud’s eight game win streak Friday evening after defeating them in game two to split the series. The Willmar Stingers stay hot win a nine game win streak and look to tack on two more in their series against the Mankato MoonDogs this weekend.
Battle Creek 12, Traverse City 8
The Battle Creek Battle Jacks defeat the Pit Spitters 12-8 to split the series Friday evening. The Battle Jacks earned their sixth win and are at a 6-11 (.353) record.
Cam Farrar (Findlay) went 2-for-4 with one walk and two runs scored. Charlie Rhee (San Diego St) went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Cooper Middleton (Kellogg Community College) had three hits on the night with two doubles and two RBI. Jake Jekielek (Northwood) led the Battle Creek pitching staff allowing only one hit with three strikeouts on the evening.
St. Cloud 2, La Crosse 5
The La Crosse Loggers split the series against the St. Cloud Rox, breaking their eight game win streak they had going into this weekend. The Loggers defeat the Rox 5-2 and now see themselves back in the win column.
Ben Zeigler-Namao went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Gable Mitchell went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Dylan King had two RBI on the night. Edward Berry got the start throwing 6 innings – allowing three hits, one run, five walks, and struck out five batters. The Loggers pitching staff combined for only five hits and eleven strikeouts.
Rochester 2, Waterloo 11
The Waterloo Bucks win the series against Rochester after defeating them in a blowout 11-2 ball game Friday night. The Bucks are on a four game win streak with 8-10 (.844) record.
Blake Burris (Arkansas St) went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs. Cole Hill (Stephen F. Austin St) 2-for-3 with a double, one run, and two runs scored. Brandon Fish (Massachusetts – Lowell) and Greg Nichols (Illinois St) each had two RBI and two runs. Seth White (Santa Barbara City College) got the start throwing 4.1 innings – allowing two hits, one run, six walks, and four strikeouts.
Minot 3, Mankato 5
The Mankato MoonDogs win the series after defeating the Minot Hot Tots 5-3 Friday evening. They now have a 9-9 (.500) record.
Kip Fougerousse (Evansville) went 4-for-5 with a double, home run, two RBI, and one run. Brody Harding (Illinois), Mike Gottschalk (Minnesota St -Mankato), and James Agabedis III (Tulane) each went 2-for-4 on the evening. Kyler Heyne (Kansas St) got the start throwing 6 innings – allowing three hits, one run, one walk, and eight strikeouts.
Kalamazoo 4, Wisconsin 3
The Kalamazoo Growlers win the series after defeating the Wisconsin Rapid Rafters 4-3 in an eleven inning matchup this evening. The Growlers are 9-8 (.529) on the season.
Korbin Griffin (Kalamazoo Valley Community College) went 1-for-4 with a home run, one RBI, and one run scored. Will Furniss (Mississippi) went 1-for-3 with two walks and a double. Xavier Delgado (Barry University) had one RBI off a home run this evening. Eamon Horwedel (Michigan) got the start throwing 7 innings for the Growlers and allowed six hits, two runs, two walks, and struck out two.
Kenosha 3, Fond du Lac 2
The Kenosha Kingfish win 3-2 and split the series against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders after dropping game one Thursday evening. The Kingfish are 8-9 (.471) on the season.
Cole Gober (Eastern Illinois)went 2-or-4 with one RBI. Vytas Valincius (Illinois) had one RBI on the evening while Isaac Williams (New Orleans), Brandon Nigh (Oakland), and Brandon Heidal (Oakland) each scored the three runs for the Kingfish this evening. Grant Siegel (West Virginia) got the start throwing 5 innings – allowing five hits, two runs, two walks, and six strikeouts.
Rockford 9, Wausau 4
The Rockford Rivets upset Wausau in game two after dropping the first game of the series against them Thursday evening. The Rivets are second in the Great Lakes East division with a 11-7 (.611) record.
Drew Baker (Wright St) and Braden Duhon (McNeese St) each went 2-for-5 with one run scored. Aaron Harper (Northern Illinois) went 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. The Eau Claire Express takes the series after defeating Duluth 6-3 in game two Friday evening. The Express are second in the Great Plains East division with a 9-7 (.563) record.

The Willmar Stingers win the series after a blowout win against the Bismarck Larks Friday evening. The Stingers are on a nine game win streak – the longest win streak of the season so far. They lead the Great Plains West division with a 14-2 (.875) record.
