The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Pit Spitters in game one of their double header Thursday afternoon. The Growlers scored three runs on nine hits.
Jeter Ybarra (Washington) went 2-for-3 with two walks and one run scored. Gavin Lewis Jr (Alabama – Birmingham) went 2-for-3 with a hit by pitch and two runs scored. Sam Leck (Grand Valley St) earned the win throwing 3 innings – allowed just two hits, zero runs, three walks, and struck out two.
Kalamazoo 0,Traverse City 3
The Growlers drop game two and as Traverse City defeated them 3-0 Thursday evening. The Growlers are now at a 17-8 record, leading the Great Lakes division.
Parker Brosius (Georgia Tech) and Jack Crighton (Clemson) went 2-for-4 combining for an RBI and one run. Tyler Minnick (Georgia Tech) and Camden Traficante (Embry Riddle) each had one RBI on the night. The Rockford Rivets took game one of the double header against the Kokomo Jackrabbits. The Rivets now hold a 15-9 record, just one behind the Traverse City Pit Spitters in the Great Lakes division.
Drew Baker (Wright St) and AJ Henkle (Illinois – Chicago) each went 3-for-4 with three RBI, leading their offense in game one. Zach Kempe (Notre Dame) earned the win for the Rivets Thursday afternoon after throwing 2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, two walks, and struck out three.
Rockford 7, Kokomo 6
The Rockford Rivets win the series double header against the Jackrabbits after getting the go ahead in the top of the ninth. The Rivets add one more win to the record after earning their sixteenth win.
Jack Sheri (Creighton) went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI, and two runs scored. Coltin Quagliano (Illinois), Bradley White (South Suburban), and Ben Hartl (Heartland Community College) each tallied one RBI on the night. Calvin Shapira (Purdue) got the start on the mound throwing 4.2 innings – allowing six hits, three runs, two walks, and five strikeouts.
Battle Creek 1, Kenosha 7**
The Kenosha Kingfish took game one of the series against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks after dropping game one of their fourteen inning battle late Wednesday evening.
Camden Janik (Illinois) and Cole Gober (Eastern Illinois) each had two hits with one RBI in game one. Miguel Useche (New Orleans) led the Kingfish with two RBI. Jaxson Easterlin (Oakland) earned the win throwing 7.2 innings and allowed four hits, one run, two walks, and struck out four.
Battle 2, Kenosha 3
Kenosha swept Battle Creek after taking game two of their double header series. The Kingfish now have an 11-13 record on the season.
Miguel Useche (New Orleans), Blane Schmitt (Louisville), and Will Maclean (Massachussetts) led the offense with two hits on the evening. Schmitt tallied a team leading two RBI in game two. Grayson Murry (Tyler Junior College) earned the win throwing 2.2 innings – allowed only two hits, zero runs, and struck out three. The starter, Grant Siegel (West Virginia), threw 5 innings – allowing two runs and struck out six.
Green Bay 3, Madison 6
The Madison Mallards take game one against the Green Bay Rockers Thursday night. The Mallards scored six runs on ten hits and only allowed one error in the field.
Isaiah Jackson (Arizona St) went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Korbyn Dickerson (Louisville) and Canyon Brown (North Carolina A&T) each had two hits and two RBI, leading the Mallards offense. Tommy Meyer (Northern Illinois) earned the win throwing 6 innings – allowing only three hits, three runs, two walks, and struck out seven.
Wisconsin 3, Fond du Lac 1
Ty Johnson (McClennan Community) led the Rapid Rafters in hits, tallying two with two runs scored. The Wausau Woodchucks defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks in game 9-5 in game one of their series Thursday evening. The Woodchucks are tied for first in the Great Lakes West division with a 15-10.

The Eau Claire Express took game one against Rochester after defeating them 10-6 on Thursday. The Express earned their twelfth win of the season.

The Bucks scored eight runs on fifteen hits Thursday evening to take game one against Duluth. They earned their ninth win of the season.

The St. Cloud Rox take game one and defeated the Willmar Stingers 5-4 Thursday evening. The Rox are ranked second in the Great Plains West with a 15-8 record.
