The Green Bay Rockers, Eau Claire Express, and Traverse City Pit Spitters all clinched first half championships following the conclusion of Monday’s game. Willmar clinched their place last week, earning twenty-six wins and are leading the entire Northwoods League with a 26-8 record going into the second half of season.
Green Bay 3, Madison 1
The Green Bay Rockers defeated Madison 3-1, sweeping their series to end the first half of regular season. The Rockers finished with a 21-15 record, leading their division almost the entire first half.
Carlos Hernandez (Anderson) went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Jayson Jones (Arkansas) tallied two RBI with a double. Seven hitters in Green Bay’s lineup tallied a hit. Kyle Stoddard (Missouri Southeastern St) got the start throwing 2.2 innings and gave up two hits, one run, two walks, and two strikeouts.
Rockford 6, Battle Creek 1
After dropping game one, the Rivets respond with a 6-1 comeback Monday evening to take game two and split the series.
AJ Henkle (Illinois – Chicago) went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and scored once. Matthew Mebane (South Georgia St College) drove in a two RBI double with one run scored. Brett Sears (Nebraska) earned the win throwing 8 innings and gave up six hits, one run, zero walks, and six strikeouts.
Willmar 3, Thunder Bay 2
The Willmar Stingers win the four game series against Thunder Bay after tallying their third win against them this week. The Stingers lead the league with a 26-8 record and are looking to continue to momentum moving into the second half of play.
Graysen Tarlow (California St. – Northridge) and Stone Miyao (Hawaii) each tallied two hits and combined for two runs scored. Six hitters in the Stingers lineup tallied at least one hit on the day. Nate Zyzda (Northeast Community College) got the start throwing 5 innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, and struck out three batters.
Fond du Lac 6, Wisconsin Rapids 2
Fond du Lac split their series against Wisconsin Rapids after defeating them 6-2 Monday evening.
Luke Novitske (California St. – East Bay) went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Brady Katterhagen (Wisconsin – Platteville) tallied a hit with two RBI. Justin Doyle (Stevens Institute of Technology) got the start throwing 5 innings and allowed three hits, one run, and four strikeouts.
Kokomo 1, Traverse City 8
The Pit Spitters clinched first half championship after defeating Kokomo Monday evening. Traverse City finished the first half with a 22-13 record, leading the Great Lakes East division.
Seven hitters in the Pit Spitters lineup tallied at least one hit on the night. Tyler Minnick (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Brendan Summerhill (Arizona) had a two RBI double. Colin Summerhill (Northern Illinois) talled one hit with three RBI on the day. Ethan Foley (Reinardt) got the start throwing 6 innings and allowed three hits, one run, zero walks, and struck out three.
Wausau 8, Lakeshore 4
The Wausau Woodchucks defeated Lakeshore in game two 8-4. The Woodchucks respond back from a loss on Sunday to split the series following Monday’s game conclusion.

Eau Claire 12, Rochester 1
The Eau Claire Express split their series against Rochester after dropping game one. The Express clinched first half championships and finished with a 20-14 record to lead the Great Plains East division.
Reed Latimer (Montevallo) went 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice. Dylan O’Connell (St. Thomas) and Cole Conn (Illinois – Chicago) each tallied two hits and three RBI on the day. Isaac Lyon (Grand Canyon) earned the win throwing 7 innings and allowed three hits, one run, one walk, and four strikeouts.
Bismarck 9, Duluth 5
The Bismarck Larks swept their series against Duluth winning game two 9-5. The Larks finished with a 16-18 record and look to start off in the win column in day one of the second half of season.
Jack Herring (Rollins) went 3-for-5 with two RBI and scored twice. Brock Kleszcz (California – San Diego) tallied two hits with four RBI after blasting a home run and scored once. Carter Rost (Cumberland) got the start on the mound throwing 6 innings and allowed four runs and six strikeouts.
St. Cloud 3, Waterloo 5
The St. Cloud Rox split their series with Waterloo after dropping game one Sunday evening. The Bucks ended the first half of the season with a 14-20 record.
Elliot Good (Central Connecticut St) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on the night. Aaron Ujimori (Hawaii) went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Cole Hill (Stephen F. Austin St) tallied two RBI this game. Kalamazoo 5, Kenosha 4
The Growlers keep their streak alive, extending their wins to seven in a row after sweeping their series against Kenosha Monday evening.
