The St. Cloud Rox won the Great Plains championship game defeating the La Crosse Loggers 9-8. The Rox will advance to the Northwoods League Championship game that will be held Friday evening against the winner of the Great Lakes championship — either Green Bay or Traverse City.
The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the 2022 NWL champions, Kalamazoo Growlers, in game three of their series to advance to the Great Lakes Championship game Wednesday evening. The Pit Spitters trailed the Growlers the entire second half of the season — ranking third in the Great Lakes East division with a 20-17 (.541) record. The Growlers , led the Great Lakes East for most of the second half with a 25-11 (.694) record. Traverse City looks to take on Green Bay in the semi final Wednesday evening at 7:05 PM.

Banks Tolley (Appalachian St) led the Growlers offense going 3-for-6 with two home runs, six RBI, and scored three times. Korbin Griffin (Ball St) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored once. Gabe Springer (Stanford) tallied two hits with a double and three RBI. Will Furniss (Mississippi) and Colin Blanchard (Washington) each drove in two runs with a single and scored twice. Nolan Milliman (Central Washington) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, two walks, and two strikeouts.

Camden Traficante (Embry Riddle) went 2-for-3 with one run scored. Parker Brosius (Georgia Tech) and Devin Hukill (Ashland University) each went 1-for-3 with one RBI and scored once. Ethan Foley (Reinhardt University) earned the win in game two throwing 6 innings and allowed only four hits, zero runs, two walks, and eight strikeouts.

Michael McNamara (Kent St) cleared the bases with his second double of the day to extend the Rox’s lead 7-3. He went 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI. Anthony Mata (California – Riverside) went 3-for-5 with a double and scored once. Jackson Hauge (Minnesota – Mankato) went 1-for-3 with two RBI on the night. Jose Gonzalez (Bethune-Cookman) went 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice. Piercen McElyea (Tarleton St) earned the win throwing 5.1 innings and allowed six hits, three runs, two walks, and seven strikeouts.
