The Green Bay Rockers defeated the Traverse City Pit Spitters in a high scoring 15-14 win to advance to the Northwoods League Championship. Green Bay knocked out the #1 ranked team in the Great Lakes West division, Madison Mallards, earlier this week to advance to the Great Lakes Championship. The Rockers head in Friday’s game with a 20-16 (.556) record. They will face the St. Cloud Rox (22-12) Friday evening for the NWL Championship game.

Jayson Jones (Arkansas) went 4-for-5 with one RBI and scored twice. Kendal Ewell (Illinois)tallied two doubles with four RBI and scored twice. Sam Polk (Washington University – St. Louis) went 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Henry Chabot (Chapman) earned the win throwing 3.2 innings and allowed only one hit, four runs, three walks, and three strikeouts. Tyler Horvath (Case Western Reserve University) came in relief throwing 3.2 innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, three walks, and seven strikeouts.
