NWL Manager of the Year to return to Bucks in 2014
Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks, members of the Northwoods League, have announced that Field Manager Travis Kiewiet will be returning for his third season as the team's skipper. Kiewiet (pronounced KEE-wit) was named the NWL's 2013 Manager of the Year after leading the Bucks to the best record in the league at 51-19. Waterloo set a new NWL record for wins in a season, surpassing the Rochester Honkers' record of 50 which was set in 2006.
Schreiner, Mallards Honored by Northwoods League
(ROCHESTER, MN) The Northwoods League announced that Scott Schreiner, VP/GM of the St. Cloud Rox, has been named 2013 NWL Executive of the Year. The award, which was decided by a vote of team officials at the League's annual fall meetings last week in St. Cloud, MN, is given annually to the League's outstanding executive. In another vote, the Madison Mallards were awarded the Organization of the Year award.

The owners of the Northwoods League’s newest franchise, Kenosha Baseball, announced that Jake McGhee has been named the club’s first General Manager. McGhee will start immediately at the office at historic Simmons Field in Kenosha.
