St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox announced today that they will be holding a Name Your Mascot Contest. Fans are encouraged to send in their mascot names by emailing nameyourmascot@stcloudrox.com The person that submits the name that will be used for the Rox new mascot will receive a pair of season tickets for the 2014 Rox season, a picture with the mascot at an unveiling event, and a private appearance at the winner’s choice of a local school.
The mascot suit is being constructed by Olympus, the largest mascot manufacturer in the United States. The character (with the red mustache) that is present in the Rox logo is what Olympus is using to design the costume.
The contest winner will be announced at a mascot unveiling event this upcoming spring. “We are looking forward to bringing the Rox logo to life. The mascot will be a big part of the entertainment at Rox games, as well as numerous community events,” said Director of Marketing and Promotions Kelly McCall. The Rox will continue accepting mascot names until Friday, January 31st. If the winning mascot name is submitted by more than one person there will be a random drawing of all contestants who voted for the winning name to determine a winner.
The St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club is a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
