Mascot Unveiling













St. Cloud, MN The St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club announced today that they will unveil their new mascot on Thursday, March 20th at Brothers Bar & Grill in St. Cloud.  The mascot unveiling event will start at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.  There will be no charge for admission and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The Rox held a ‘name your mascot contest’ this past January where fans could submit names for the new mascot.  The fan that submitted the selected mascot name will receive a pair of season tickets for the 2014 Rox season, a picture with the mascot at an unveiling event, and a private appearance at the his/her choice of a local school.  “We are looking forward to a fun event where fans can meet the new face of the Rox,” said Director of Marketing and Promotions Kelly McCall. 

The Rox home opener is Friday, May 30th at 7:05p.m. at Joe Faber Field presented by Coborn’s.  There will be a post-game fireworks show.  For Rox season tickets and/or partial ticket plans please call (320) 240-9798.

The St. Cloud Rox are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized summer collegiate baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (DET) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
