St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club unveiled their mascot at an event held tonight.  In front of a standing room only crowd on the second floor of Brothers Bar & Grill, Chisel was introduced, wearing the number 71.

Chisel was selected from hundreds of submissions made during the ‘name your mascot contest’ which took place in January where fans could submit names for the new mascot.  Tom Stoermann, who submitted the name Chisel, received a pair of season tickets for the 2014 Rox season, a picture with the mascot at the unveiling event, and a private appearance at his son’s school in Albany. 

Chisel’s number 71 was selected as a tribute to the original Rox minor league team that called St. Cloud home until 1971. 

“It’s great to have the face of the Rox born. Chisel will definitely bring additional fun to the ballpark and will be an active part of the community for years to come,” said Rox Vice President Scott Schreiner.

The Rox home opener is Friday, May 30^th at 7:05p.m. at Joe Faber Field presented by Coborn’s.  There will be a post-game fireworks show.  For Rox season tickets and/or partial ticket plans please call (320) 240-9798.
