St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox announced the addition of three players from Kent State University to their 2014 roster this week. The players that signed are pitchers Nick Jensen-Clagg and Tim Faix and outfielder Alex Miklos. The Golden Flashes are currently 12-9 in their 2014 campaign and are just two years removed from a trip to the College World Series in 2012.

Miklos, a junior outfielder at Kent State and native of Grove City, Pa. has started all 21 games for the Golden Flashes this season and has smacked a team-leading nine doubles. He also is currently tied for the team-lead in at bats (82), second in slugging percentage (.488) and third on the team in batting average (.317). Miklos played in all 59 games for Kent State last season, starting in 56 of them and connecting with 61 hits and 47 runs. He also led the team in homeruns (5) and doubles (14) and also posted four triples and 21 stolen bases. As a freshman, Miklos started in 34 games, tied for the team-lead in triples (4) and also blasted two homeruns for the Mid-American Conference champions and College World Series entrants. Before KSU, Miklos earned second team All-state and region 7 Player of the Year honors in his senior year while leaving Grove City as the all-time leader in triples and runs scored. He also competed at the National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series, earning All-Tournament honors in 2010.

Jensen-Clagg, a 6-foot-1 inch, 180 lbs. right-handed pitcher from Columbus, Ohio joins the squad in his sophomore year at KSU. Jensen-Clagg currently is third in innings pitched for the Golden Flashes with 21, posting a 0-1 record through four starts with 19 strikeouts in the young 2014 season. In his freshman season, Jensen-Clagg recorded a 5.09 ERA in 46 innings pitched, going 2-4 in seven starts. Prior to Kent State, Jensen-Clagg was a four-year letter winner at Pickerington Central High School and was named to the ESPN All-Ohio prep baseball top 10.

Faix, a left-handed pitcher played for the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods league in 2013.  He posted a 2-0 record in six starts with a 2.97 ERA in 45 innings pitched. He has currently seen action in six games this spring for Kent State. Before being redshirted last year, the 6-foot-2 inch 185 lbs. hurler posted the lowest ERA on the team as a freshman, allowing 1.98 runs per game in 13.2 innings pitched with a 1-0 record as KSU ended their season in Omaha, Neb. for the College World Series. Before Kent State, Faix attended Walsh Jesuit High School in Strongsville, Ohio and earned All-Cuyahoga River conference honors. In his senior season, Faix pitched a no-hitter and went 28 straight scoreless innings while also earning a spot on the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) World Series All-Tournament team in 2011.
