Matt Rodgers just his finished up his junior season at the University of Evansville, where the right-handed pitcher went 3-1 for the Aces, starting 10 games over the season and appearing in nine more in the span of 46 innings pitched. He registered a 4.70 ERA in the spring of 2014, striking out 44 batters and allowing 46 hits. Before transferring to Evansville, Rodgers pitched at Lincoln Trail College, where in 2013, he went 2-3 in five appearances and two starts while recording 14 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched.
How old were you when you started playing baseball: I was 5 when I began playing baseball.

Hobbies or things you like to do for fun: Fishing, spear fishing, hunting and hanging with my friends.

Something most people don’t know about you: I made an underwater spear fishing video on YouTube.
What is your most memorable baseball moment: Starting and getting the victory against Vanderbilt this year.
Advice to young athletes: Give 100 percent in all you do and don’t give up on your dreams.
Favorite Restaurant: Japanese steak houses with sushi bars and hibachi grills.
