St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox were defeated by the Green Bay Bullfrogs 13-3 Sunday night to end a six-game home stand before the Northwoods League All-Star Game which will take place on Tuesday. The Bullfrogs scored six runs in the third inning, five in the fourth and two more in the seventh to earn a split in the two-game series in front of a crowd of 1,929 people at Joe Faber Field.
St. Cloud’s only three runs of the game all came in the third inning off an RBI single from Eric Loxtercamp to score Kade Scivicque, and a two-RBI double from Clay Ardeeser to bring in Loxtercamp and Seth Heck. Nick Jensen-Clagg took the loss (0-2) on the mound for the Rox, before being relieved by Trevor Charpie in the third inning after giving up six runs on three hits.
Charpie, Matt Rodgers, Chad Hockin and Dalton Sawyer then combined to go the final 6.2 innings for the Rox as the Bullfrogs scored seven more times to come away with the victory. For the Rox, Loxtercamp finished with two hits as Ardeeser, Heck and Liam Bedford all doubled while Ardeeser also picked up two RBIs.

The Rox will now have the next three days off as players from all around the Northwoods League will meet in Mequon, Wis. for the All-Star Game being held July 22nd. Pitchers Reese Gregory and Kevin Burgee, along with infielder Chris Paul will represent the Rox for the North Division with Paul also participating in the Home Run Challenge.
The Rox will return to action on Thursday, June 24th for a two-game series in Eau Claire with the Express, before returning to Joe Faber Field on Saturday, July 26th for a two-game series with the Duluth Huskies. July 26th will be Halloween in July, presented by Party City, and the first 400 kids 14-and-under will receive a candy bag for a post-game candy drop. There will also be a best costume contest that night, plus two fans will win a brand new bike.
