The Rox started their season series off with the Huskies by dropping game number one by a final score of 5-0.
A defensive struggle throughout, the Huskies broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the 6th inning with 4 runs. They later tacked a run on in the 7th to bolster their lead.
Michael Strem (Boston College) went 2-4 with two singles on the night to lead the Rox, but it wasn't enough as the Rox moved to 1-1 on their current six game roadtrip.
Zach Pop (University of Kentucky) was brilliant on the mound for the Rox in his second start, going 5 innings while giving up ust 1 hit with 4 strikeouts.
