Willmar, MN-

The St. Cloud Rox dropped their first matchup of the season to the Willmar Stingers by a final score of 5-2. 

Jake Farr (Tennessee Tech) went 2 for 3 for the Rox with a run, and added an RBI on a double in the 8th inning to cut the deficit to just three. 

Austin Athmann (University of Minnesota) continued his hot streak, as he added his 10th RBI of the season when he singled in the sixth inning. 

Reese Gregory went six innings for St. Cloud, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits. 

With the loss, the Rox moved to 2-2 on the roadtrip, with two more games scheduled in Willmar before returning home Sunday.

The Rox return to action tomorrow night from Willmar, for game number two against the Stingers. First pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
