The Rox rally fell short in the 9th inning as they scored two but eventually succumbed to the Stingers by a final score of 4-3.
Trailing 4-1 entering the 9th, the Rox quickly made 2 outs and were down to their final out trailing by 3.
Four hits later, the Rox trailed by just one and had the tying run on second base.
It was a case of too little too late, as the Stingers eventually ended the game before the Rox could tie things at 4.
Tonight's SC Times player of the game was Connor Crane (Mcneese St.)
On the game, Connor Crane (Mcneese St.) was 2-4 with an RBI and added a run for the Rox.
The St. Cloud Rox ended their six game road-trip with a respectable 3-3 record, as they return home for tomorrow's contest against the Willmar Stingers.
Tomorrow's game against the Stingers is Rox Drawstring Backpack Giveaway presented by Central Minnesota Credit Union. The first 300 kids 14 and under will get backpacks at the gate. Tomorrow is also Books & Baseball Day presented by Early Childhood Initiative and United Way. The first 250 families with a child 5 & under receive a book and will be able to read with the players on the field starting at 12:05 PM. Coborn's Kids' Day. Kids can run the bases and get autographs on the field after the game.
