The Rox offense got going right away to start the 5-game road trip, as they exploded for 8 runs in the top of the first inning to grab a commanding lead before the Blue Anchors even had a chance to bat.
Michael Strem (Boston College) hit a bases clearing double with 2-outs in the inning, to really break things open for St. Cloud.
Liam Bedford (Doane College) had a great day at the plate for the Rox, as he went 2-4 with an RBI along with scoring 2 runs for St. Cloud
Lucas Gilbreath (University of Minnesota) got the start for St. Cloud, and pitched very well, giving up just one run on one hit through 4 innings of work. Gilbreath struck out 4 Blue Anchors batters.
Despite giving up 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Rox were never not in control of the game, as they cruised to their 4th consecutive victory against the Blue Anchors.
The Rox return to action tomorrow night in Waterloo, as they play the Waterloo Bucks for game one of a two game series.
