St. Cloud won their 4th straight game with a grind-it-out, hard-knosed 5-3 win on the road over the Waterloo Bucks.
Michael Strem (Boston College) added an RBI single in the top of the third inning to stake the Rox out to a 1-0 lead.
The Bucks took their first lead in the bottom of the 4th inning, when they scored 3 runs of their own.
Facing a 3-1 lead heading to the top of the 6th inning, the Rox bats came alive as they rallied yet again to tie the game at 3. In the inning, Brandon Benson (Georgia College) and Jake Farr (Tennessee Tech) both delivered clutch 2-out RBI singles to tie the game at 3 after 6 innings.
The game remained tied in to the 7th inning, before Liam Bedford (Doane College) hit an RBI single to score Joe Tietjen (UNC Asheville) from second as the Rox regained their lead. Kyle Serrano (Colorado Mesa University) added an RBI single of his own to give the Rox added insurance, and they held on to win the game by a final score of 5-3.
Brian Glowicki (University of Minnesota) pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win for the Rox.
Trevor Charpie (Saddleback CC) threw 1 1/3 innings to earn his fifth save of the season.
