Facing the Eau Claire Express for the first time this season, the Rox dropped game number one of the two game road trip by a final score of 5-1.
The Rox started the scoring in the top of the 2nd inning, when Liam Bedford (Doane College) scored on a RBI single by Webb Bobo (SE Louisiana) to give the Rox a 1-0 lead. Bedford reached first to lead off the second inning after he was struck by a breaking ball in the forearm.
From there, the Rox held the lead until the bottom of the fourth, when a bases clearing triple by Joe Gilette of the Express pushed the Eau Claire lead to 3-1.
