Duluth, MN—
After taking last night's game in extra innings at Joe Faber Field, the Rox fell short in Duluth in game number two in the home and home series with the Huskies.
St. Cloud struck first, as Reese Gregory (SCSU) doubled with 2 outs in the top of the second inning to give the Rox a 2-0 lead, as Kyle Serrano (Colorado Mesa) and Marcus Carson (Kentucky) scored.
The Huskies answered in the bottom of the third, and the game remained all the way up until the 5th inning.
Andrew Clemen (SDSU) got the start for St. Cloud, and after dominating in his previous three outings, struggled a bit today for the Rox. Clemen lasted 5 innings, giving up 7 hits, 5 runs while striking out just two.
In the top of the fifth, the Rox took a 4-2 lead as Jake Farr (Tennessee Tech) and Brandon Benson (Georgia College) came around to score.
From there, it was all Huskies, as they turned a 4-2 deficit into a 10-4 lead and never looked back as the Rox and Huskies moved to 3-3 in their season series thus far.
The Rox will be in action tomorrow night against the second place Rochester Honkers at Mayo Field in Rochester, MN. The Rox and Honkers will first play a 7 inning game originally scheduled for June 16th, and will play the regularly scheduled game, again 7 innings, at the conclusion of the first game.
Tonight's SC Times Player of the game was Reese Gregory. Gregory was 1-3 with an RBI in the Rox loss.
