St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud Rox are playing in the 2015 Summer Collegiate World Series as they take on the Kenosha Kingfish. Game one is being played in Kenosha at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, August 13th. Game two will be at the Rock Pile in St. Cloud. The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start time with gates opening at 6:05 p.m. on Friday, August 14th. If necessary, game three will also be played at the Rock Pile. The start time for that game would be 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, August 15th with gates opening at 5:05 p.m.
The Rox defeated the Rochester Honkers in the team’s first ever playoff game on August 10th in St. Cloud. Reese Gregory (St. Cloud State) pitched a complete game shutout where he only allowed three hits and struck out ten batters.
In game two on August 11th, the Rox won the North Division Championship when they defeated the Duluth Huskies 10-3. John Sansone (Florida State University) went 4-5 with a solo homerun, three RBIs and four runs scored. Marcus Carson (University of Kentucky) and Liam Bedford (Doane College) both drove in two RBIs.
Lee Miller (Davidson College) leads St. Cloud with a .571 batting average in the playoffs. He has recorded two RBIs and one home run. Sansone is batting .556 with one home run and three RBIs. Sansone also leads the team with five hits.
After Gregory’s dominant performance on Monday, the Rox have had solid pitching out of the bullpen during the playoffs. Erik Martinez (Cal-Berkeley) pitched 5.0 innings of relief on Tuesday. He struck out four batters and only allowed two hits. Brian Glowicki (University of Minnesota) has tossed 2.0 innings of relief where he struck out one batter and only allowed one hit.
The Rox are 3-1 this season versus the Kingfish.

The Rox enter the 2015 Summer Collegiate World Series with a 10 game winning streak and a 12 game home winning streak.
Game one’s starter for the Rox will be Sheldon Miks. Miks has a 5-1 record with a 2.73 ERA and 42 strikeouts.
The Blue Line Sports Bar & Grill will be hosting a viewing party for Rox fans tonight. The game’s video broadcast will be streamed live on the Blue Line’s televisions. The Blue Line will extend their Happy Hour for a Rox Happy Hour, $1 off any drink for the entire game and there will be prizes such as Rox merchandise.
