Rox Extend Play-By-Play Radio Deal with AM 1390 The Fan

Rox Sign Broadcasting Agreement

St. Cloud, MN. –The St. Cloud Rox announces today that they have extended their radio agreement with KXSS AM 1390 through the 2018 season.  AM 1390 has been the radio play-by-play broadcast partner of Rox Baseball since the Rox inaugural season in 2012.

 “The entire St. Cloud Rox organization is thrilled to continue the partnership with AM 1390 and Townsquare Media as the radio play-by-play partner of Rox Baseball,” said Rox Vice President and Co-Owner Scott Schreiner. 1390 The Fan will broadcast all 72 home and road Rox games, along with any postseason Rox games during the 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons.

The Rox finished the 2015 season with a record breaking 51-25 record which included a North Division Championship and a second place finish in the Summer Collegiate World Series.  The Rox had a single season attendance record of 62,019 fans at the Rock Pile in 2015.  The Rox 2016 schedule is scheduled to be released in December.   

The St. Cloud Rox are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest summer collegiate baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 130 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (KC).
