Greetings and Happy Holidays from your friends with the St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club. As we close the calendar on 2016 and look forward to a great 2017 we wanted to thank our fans, corporate partners, host families and all of those who supported the Rox during another great year!

Our continued growth as an organization and success on the field would not be possible without the support of our great community. Your support has allowed us to remain one of the most popular family friendly entertainment destinations in Central Minnesota.  In May we started our fifth season and paired numerous entertaining promotions including Friday Night Fireworks, many giveaways and national entertainment acts with a division championship caliber baseball team to increase attendance for a fourth consecutive year.

In June we had 11 former Rox players selected in the Major League Baseball draft including 2014 infielder Will Craig who was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1st round, 22nd overall. Additionally, four former Rox players signed free agency contracts with Major League Baseball organizations including 2016 outfielder T.J. Friedl who set a record for the largest signing bonus for an Undrafted Free Agent in Major League Baseball history.

July saw a Northwoods League best seven Rox players selected for the annual Northwoods League All-Star Game in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  This included Ricky Ramirez, who also participated in the Home Run Derby at the Harbor on Lake Michigan and Luke Ringhofer, who collected a game high four base hits leading the North Division to a 9-5 win over the South Division.

The Rox wrapped up another great season in August by winning the Highway 23 traveling trophy against the rival Willmar Stingers as well as a second consecutive Second Half North Division Championship.  After advancing to the North Division Championship Game, the Rox finished with a 49-24 record. The past two seasons the Rox have totaled 100 wins, the only team in the history of the league to amass this many wins over two seasons. The support from the community has been amazing as over 60,000 fans have attended Rox home games in both of the last two seasons.

Though we may still have a few winter months ahead, planning for the next season is heating up.  We recently released our schedule for the 2017 season which can be found HERE. Multi-game ticket packages are on sale now, so it’s not too early to start planning for the summer! To stay more informed about the Rox during the offseason make sure to follow us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts where you will find updates of our latest player signings and promotional announcements, and just in case you’re really missing the green grass and sunshine of the Rock Pile, check out our 2016 Recap Video HERE.

Once again, on behalf of the entire St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club, we wish you and your family a Happy Holidays and great start to the new year!
