Mankato, MN — Matt Tarantino (Pacific) hit a shot to Left-centerfield in a game the Rox trailed by one with two outs in the 8th. His second home run of the season tied the game, but was not enough for St. Cloud in a 4-3 loss. 

Playing the latter half of a double-header in Mankato tonight, the Rox looked solid through the first several innings. Kenny Saenz (BYU) extended his streak of scoreless innings to 15 before giving up 2 in the 5th inning. He finished his third start of the summer with 6 complete innings, 4 hits and 7 strikeouts. 

STC got going early again, scoring in the 2nd inning after a Brendan Illies (North Carolina) got his second RBI of the summer after a single drove in Shane Selman (McNeese State). Selman singled as well and advanced to 3rd after an error by Mankato.

In the 5th, Eric Feliz (Notre Dame) walked and work his way around the bases to score following a Mason Mamarella (Kent State) sacrifice fly. 

The Rox have the day off tomorrow, but are back in action Thursday night at La Crosse in the first of four straight games against the Loggers. First pitch Thursday night is at 7:05 PM.
