St. Cloud, MN — The Rox did it again Saturday night. After a couple dramatic wins Wednesday and Thursday, they have rolled to wins over the last two days. Behind a stellar night on the mound and insurance late, the Rox continued a strong stretch late into the regular season with a 5-0 shutout over the Bucks.

Robbie Palkert (Nebraska) continues to dominate on the mound this year. In another 5 inning start, he only gave up two hits and struck out six on his way to his 5th win. Palkert lowered his ERA on the season to an impressive 1.30, and it is now at 0.72 through five starts in the 2nd half.

Ivan Coutinho (Bethune-Cookman), Jackson Rose (Minnesota) and Brent Killam (Georgetown) combined for the final four innings without even allowing a hit or walk. The Bucks bats were silent Saturday, and the Rox picked up their 7th shutout win this year.

Daniel Schneemann (BYU) provided the game-winning hit, with his solo home run in the 4th inning. Late in the game, St. Cloud scored four more runs, including three in the 8th. Brendan Illies (North Carolina) singled in the 6th to drive in the 2nd run of the game. Cameron Eden (Cal) later tripled to dead-center and brought in two more runs before scoring on a Drew Avans (Southeastern Louisiana) RBI single immediately after.

The Rox have now won four straight and nine of their last 12 games. They still hold the best record in the North Division at 39-26 with 7 games left in the regular season.
