Every week of the offseason leading up to the start of the 2018 St. Cloud Rox season on May 29, we will pick a former Rox player as the Player of the Week.

This week, it is Nick Tanielu, an infielder who played in St. Cloud during the 2012 season. Tanielu, who is 25 years old, is currently playing with the Corpus Christi Hooks, a Double-A club in the Houston Astros system.

In four games during the past week, Tanielu went 8-for-16 with two home runs, five runs scored and five RBI for the Hooks. In nine games this season, Tanielu has a .316 batting average, along with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and three walks.

Tanielu appeared in 40 games for the Rox during the 2012 season, finishing with a .336 batting average while recording 27 runs, 48 hits, one triple, one home run, 21 RBI and three stolen bases.
