St. Cloud, MN – The 2017 Northwoods League Champions St. Cloud Rox are excited to announce the full promotional schedule for the 2018 season.

The schedule is packed with amazing fireworks shows, great premium giveaway items and highly entertaining national entertainment acts throughout the summer.

Single game tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30. Tickets can be purchased online at www.stcloudrox.com, by calling 320-240-9798 or at the Rox ticket office located at the west end of the Municipal Athletic Complex.

Tickets for the June 1 home opener presented by Coborn’s are currently on sale, with tickets selling out fast.

 

 

Opening Weekend

Opening weekend will kick off on Friday, June 1 with a guest appearance by Major League Baseball World Series Champion and former Minnesota Twins pitcher Juan Berenguer. A two-time World Series Champion, including being a part of the Twins’ 1987 championship team, Berenguer will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, sign autographs and take pictures with fans throughout the game. The home opener will also feature a post-game fireworks show and the first 2,000 fans to the game will receive a Rox magnet schedule, all presented by Coborn’s.

On Saturday, June 2, the Rox will host Baseball Bat Giveaway Night presented by CentraCare Neurosciences Stroke Center. The first 300 fans 14 years old and under will receive a youth baseball bat. The game will also be Strike Out Stroke Night.

Rounding out opening weekend on Sunday, June 3 will feature Books and Baseball Day presented by the Initiative Foundation and United Way. The first 200 families with a child five years old and under will receive a book and will have the opportunity to read with the players on the field before the game. It is also Coborn’s Kids Day, where kids will have the opportunity to run the bases and get autographs on the field after the game.

Friday Night Fireworks

After every Friday home game in 2018, there will be a post-game fireworks extravaganza put on display for fans in attendance. In addition to the June 1 home opener, Friday Night Fireworks are scheduled for June 29 presented by Cornerstone Buffet & Restaurant, July 20 presented by Franklin Graphics and Franklin Outdoor Advertising and August 10 presented by Texas Roadhouse. There will be an extra post-game fireworks night on Thursday, July 5 as part of Continuing the Independence Day Celebration night presented by Kwik Trip.

Championship Giveaways

In honor of the Rox winning the 2017 Northwoods League Championship, there will be four championship giveaways throughout the season. On Wednesday, June 6, there will be a Championship Poster Schedule Giveaway presented by McDonald’s Meats. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Rox championship poster. Saturday, June 9 will be Rox Pint Glass Giveaway Night presented by Miller Lite. The first 500 fans 21 years old and over will receive a pint glass with the 2017 Rox Championship logo on it. There will be a Rox Championship Baseball Giveaway on Sunday, July 8 presented by Sentry Bank. The first 300 fans 14 years old and under will receive a ball. On Thursday, July 19, the Rox will be hosting a Championship Chisel Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Capital One. The first 400 fans will be given a token to be redeemed for a Championship Chisel Bobblehead after the fifth inning.

Premium Giveaways

The promotional schedule includes premium giveaways at 21 games throughout the season, including replica jerseys, baseball bats, gym bags, baseball caps, baseball cards, pint glasses, 2017 championship items and more.

Special Events

The Rox will host the 7th annual bark in the Park Night presented by Granite City Pet Hospital on Tuesday, June 26. The first 200 dogs will receive a Rox rope toy. On Thursday, June 28, it will be the annual Military Appreciation Day presented by Advantage 1 Insurance Agency. The first 300 fans will receive a Military hero baseball card and the Rox will wear special military themed uniforms that will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Vietnam Veterans of America Local Chapter No. 290. Saturday, July 14 will be Summertime St. Patty’s Night presented by Miller Lite. The Rox will wear green jerseys and there will be green bases as well as green beer. On Sunday, July 15, it will be Pink in the Park Day presented by Center for Diagnostic Imaging. The Rox will be wearing special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off online with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Monday, July 30 will be the 2nd annual Community All-Stars Night presented by Sentry Bank. Nine area youth will be awarded the ultimate Rox experience.

National Entertainment Acts

There will be numerous national entertainment acts at the Rock Pile this season. On Thursday, June 7, America’s Ballpark Prankster BirdZerk is back presented by Brandl Motors. The award-winning act ZOOperstars will be performing on Wednesday, June 20 presented by Blue Line Sports Bar & Grill. The dueling duo Dueling Pianos will be returning to St. Cloud on Thursday, July 12 presented by PreferredOne. Wrestling Legend “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan will be at the ballpark signing autographs and taking pictures with fans on Thursday, July 26 presented by Cornerstone Buffet & Restaurant. The world’s best extreme pogo entertainment XPOGO Stunt Team will be performing on Thursday, August 9 presented by Buffalo Wild Wings.

Weekly Promotions

In 2018, there will be five weekly promotional nights that will take place throughout the summer. Starting off each week, the Rox will host “Military Monday” which will give the first 75 active military members or veterans with a valid ID or military discharge papers who purchase a reserve ticket a complimentary Rox hat (available day of game only). On Tuesday’s, it will be “Taco Tuesday” which allows fans to receive a certificate for a free taco from Taco John’s after every Tuesday home game. Every Thursday, the Rox will host “Thirsty Thursday” where after every Thursday home game, fans will leave with a two-for-one beverage coupon for Legend’s Bar & Grill. On Friday’s, there will be “Friday Night Fireworks” where fans will enjoy a post-game fireworks show (there will also be a fireworks show on Thursday, July 5). To round out the week, every Sunday will be “Coborn’s Kids Day,” giving kids the opportunity to run the bases and get autographs on field after the game.

  • June 11: Rox Bottle Opener Giveaway Night presented By Grain Belt Premium. First 300 fans 21 and older.
  • June 20: Don’t miss the award winning national entertainment act ZOOperstars. Blue Line Sports Bar & Grill Gift Card Night.  First 250 fans 21 and older will receive a gift card with various dollar amounts to be redeemed back at either Blue Line – Sartell or Blue Line – South.
  • June 26: Bark in the Park Night presented by Granite City Pet Hospital. First 200 dogs receive a Rox rope toy. All dogs enter through the general admission first base gate.
  • June 27: Day/Night Doubleheader. 12:05 p.m. game: Midweek Matinee. Take a co-worker/client to the ballpark for lunch day. 7:05 p.m. game: Rox Baseball Cap Giveaway presented by Franklin Outdoor Advertising. First 250 fans.

  • July 8: Rox Championship Baseball Giveaway presented by Sentry Bank. First 300 fans 14 and under. Coborn’s Kids Day.  Kids have the opportunity to run the bases and get autographs on the field after the game.
  • July 10: Rox Replica Youth Jersey Giveaway Night presented by Coborn’s, 104.7 KCLD and Times Media. First 300 fans 14 and under.
  • July 11: Rox Drawstring Bag Giveaway Night presented by Central Minnesota Credit Union. First 300 kids 14 and under.
  • July 12: The Dueling Duo-Dueling Pianos will be entertaining throughout the game presented by PreferredOne.
  • July 14: Summertime St. Patty’s Night presented by Miller Lite. It’s ALL green…uniforms, bases and beer.

  • July 19: Championship Chisel Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Capital One. First 400 fans receive a token to be redeemed for a bobblehead after the fifth inning.

  • July 26: Wrestling Legend “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan will be at the ballpark signing autographs and taking pictures with fans throughout the game presented by Cornerstone Buffet & Restaurant.
  • July 30: Rox Trading Card Set Giveaway presented by Rengel Printing, Times Media and 1390 Granite City Sports.
  • July 31: Community All-Stars Night presented by Sentry Bank. Nine area youth will be awarded the ultimate Rox experience.
  • August 1: Polka Night presented by 1150 KASM.
  • August 4: Hometown Heroes Night presented by Capital One. Five local heroes will be recognized.
  • August 5: Hot Dog Hundo Night presented by Manea’s Meats. Fans will have a chance to win cash prizes up to $100 by purchasing a hot dog from the main concessions stand. Coborn’s Kids Day. Kids have the opportunity to run the bases and get autographs on the field after the game.
  • August 9: The World’s Best Extreme Pogo Entertainment, XPOGO Stunt Team will be performing throughout the night presented by Buffalo Wild Wings.
  • August 10: Fan Appreciation Night presented by Texas Roadhouse. Great giveaways throughout the game. Friday Night Fireworks.
