St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox and the Northwoods League announced today that the Miracle League of Central Minnesota has been selected as the local recipient of the Share the Glove youth equipment grant.

With the Share the Glove youth equipment grant, Miracle League of Central Minnesota will be awarded with baseball equipment totaling a retail value of $2,500, which includes two sets of catcher’s gear, ten gloves, eight batting helmets, six bats and one bucket of practice balls.

The Northwoods League Foundation is celebrating the 25th season of the Northwoods League in 2018 by donating $50,000 in youth Rawlings equipment through 20 grants. Ten baseball grants will be awarded, one in each NorthDivision market, including St. Cloud. Ten softball grants will be awarded, one in each South Division market.

The Northwoods League Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball into positive change and support for communities. The mission of the Northwoods League Foundation is to utilize the game of baseball to enrich the quality of life for children and families with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities.

The Rox will play their 7th season of Northwoods League Baseball in 2018. The home opener at Joe Faber Field is scheduled for Friday, June 1 at 7:05 p.m. against the Mankato MoonDogs. The home opener, presented by Coborn’s, will feature post-game fireworks. Season tickets and single game tickets for the 2018 season are currently on sale.
