La Crosse, WI – The St. Cloud Rox completed a comeback win on Friday night against the La Crosse Loggers to secure their third win in the last four games.

Down 4-2 heading into the eighth inning, the Rox strung together two runs in the top of the inning to even the score at 4-4. With two outs, Ryan Weisenberg (Georgetown) singled home Ryland Kerr (Eastern Kentucky) and Landon Stephens (Miami-Ohio) to help St. Cloud tie the game.

In the top of the ninth, the Rox scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning run thanks to a RBI single from Ryan Davis (Georgetown) that brought home Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) from third base and gave St. Cloud a 5-4 lead.

Stephens led the way for St. Cloud in the game, going 3-for-3 with one run scored. Davis finished 2-for-5 with two RBI, Weisenberg went 1-for-4 with two RBI, Kerr went 2-for-3 with one RBI and Smith went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Rox.

Finn Del Bonta-Smith (San Jose State) pitched two shutout innings in relief to pick up the win for St. Cloud. He gave up one hit, no walks and struck out four while picking up his third win of the season.

Jack Cushing (Georgetown) pitched the first six innings for the Rox, giving up three earned runs, no walks and striking out two. Landon Clifton (LSU Eunice) pitched one shutout inning in the seventh before Del Bonta-Smith entered the game.

St. Cloud returns to action on Saturday when it opens up a two-game series with the Thunder Bay Border Cats at 5:05 p.m. at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
