St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox returned back home on Thursday night to open up the final regular season homestand of the regular season while riding yet another hot streak in the second half of the Northwoods League season.

The Rox continued to roll, taking down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 3-0 in front of a packed Rock Pile to extend their winning streak to three straight.

St. Cloud kicked off the scoring in the bottom of the first inning on a run scored by Ben Carew (Kent State) on a wild pitch. From that point on, the Rox didn’t look back, adding one more run in each the bottom of the fourth and seventh innings.

St. Cloud was highlighted by an impressive pitching performance on the mound by Will Warren (Southeastern Louisiana). Warren tossed seven stellar innings to pick up the win, giving up just two hits and no runs while striking out seven. Justin Wick (Creighton) pitched one shutout inning in relief, striking out the side, while Erik Martinez (California-Berkeley) finished out the game by striking out the side in the ninth inning.

Noah Hill (BYU) led the way for the Rox at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Ryland Kerr (Eastern Kentucky) finished 1-for-3 with one RBI, Jack Barrie (Reinhardt) went 2-for-3 and Carew and Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) each added one hit.
