Every week during the offseason, we will pick a former St. Cloud Rox player who is excelling in the minor or major leagues as the Player of the Week.

This week, it’s Ben DeLuzio, an outfielder who played in St. Cloud during the 2016 season. DeLuzio, who is 24 years old, is currently playing in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization with the Jackson Generals.

During the past week, DeLuzio played in two games for the Generals, going 2-for-9 with two runs scored. In 68 games with Jackson this summer, DeLuzio holds a batting average of .262 with 69 hits, 43 runs scored, 12 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 14 RBI and 34 stolen bases.

DeLuzio, who was signed by the Diamondbacks as a free agent in 2016, appeared in seven games for the Rox in 2016. During that span, he carried a .368 batting average along with seven hits, eight runs scored, one double, two RBI and three stolen bases.
