St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox and the Northwoods League today announced the complete 72-game schedule for the 2019 season.

In its 26th season of operation, the Northwoods League will begin summer collegiate baseball’s most extensive schedule on Tuesday, May 28. In 2019, your Rox will begin their eighth season with a four-game road trip against the Rochester Honkers and Waterloo Bucks between May 28 and May 31. St. Cloud’s home opener will be on Saturday, June 1 at 7:05 p.m. against the Bismarck Larks at Joe Faber Field and will feature post-game fireworks presented by Coborn’s.

In total, the Rox will play 36 home games during the 2019 regular season at the Rock Pile. For a printable version of the schedule, click here.

With the addition of the Kokomo Jackrabbits and Traverse City in 2019 to bring the Northwoods League to a total of 22 teams, the league announced a realignment and has adopted new divisional names: Great Plains and Great Lakes. The names serve as a homage to the growth the league has experienced over its history, as well as its vast geographic presence, stretching from the Great Plains at its western-most edge, throughout the Great Lakes region to the East.

The Division and Sub-Division breakout will be as follows:

Great Plains West: Bismarck, Mankato, Rochester, St. Cloud, Willmar.

Great Plains East: Duluth, Eau Claire, La Crosse, Thunder Bay, Waterloo.

Great Lakes West: Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Lakeshore, Madison, Wisconsin, Wisconsin Rapids.

Great Lakes East: Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Kenosha, Kokomo, Rockford, Traverse City.

The league, which plays two halves to determine playoff participants, will end the first half of the schedule on July 3 with the second half of the season beginning on July 4. The 2019 Northwoods League All-Star Game will take place on July 16 in Waterloo, Iowa, while the annual Major League Dreams Showcase will take place on August 6 in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Rox full promotion schedule with fireworks, special guests and giveaway dates will be released prior to the season.
