In honor of Throwback Thursday and the season inching closer, take a look back at this countdown of the Top 10 Moments from the 2018 St. Cloud Rox season!
No. 10 – Ricardo Sanchez Steals Home Against Duluth
Coming in at No. 10 was Ricardo Sanchez stealing home against the Duluth Huskies on July 12 at the Rock Pile. Sanchez stole home in the bottom of the third inning to help your Rox to a 4-3 victory over the Huskies.

No. 9 – Back-to-Back Walk-Off Wins At Home
At No. 9, we throw it back to when Ryan Weisenberg and Jack Barrie recorded back-to-back walk-off wins at home in June. Weisenberg’s walk-off came against Rochester on June 9, followed by Barrie’s walk-off HR in a win over Thunder Bay on June 10.

No. 8 – Matthews Ties Rox Record On The Mound
At No. 8, we have John Matthews tying the Rox record for most strikeouts in a game on July 10 at the Rock Pile. Matthews struck out 13 batters over 6.2 innings in a 3-2 victory over Waterloo.

No. 7 – Ross, Aube Tie Rox Record With Five Hits
At No, 7, we have Sean Ross and Connor Aube tying the Rox record for most hits in a single game. Ross went a perfect 5-for-5 vs. Bismarck on June 29 at the Rock Pile, while Aube went 5-for-5 at Rochester on July 27.

No. 6 – Back-to-Back Home Runs At The Rock Pile
At No. 6 in the countdown, we have Ricardo Sanchez and Ryan Weisenberg hitting back-to-back home runs on July 14 on Summertime St. Patty’s Night in a win over Willmar at the Rock Pile.

No. 5 – Borst Belts Grand Slam In Comeback Win
Coming in at No. 5 was Michael Borst hitting a grand slam in a comeback win over La Crosse on Aug. 6. Borst hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to help your Rox erase a five-run deficit to grab the road victory.

No. 4 – Davis Sets Single-Season Doubles Record
At No. 4, we have Ryan Davis setting the Rox single-season franchise doubles record during the 2018 season. Davis broke the record on Aug. 6 in La Crosse, finishing the year with 22 doubles, breaking Chris Paul’s record of 20 set in 2013.

No. 3 – Warren, Del Bonta-Smith Toss One-Hitter
At No. 3, we have Will Warren and Finn Del Bonta-Smith combining to throw a one-hitter on Aug. 2 in Rochester. Warren earned the win with eight strikeouts over the first eight innings, with Del Bonta-Smith finishing things off in the final inning to grab the save.

No. 2 – Barrie’s Record Breaking Game
At No. 2 in the countdown, we have Jack Barrie’s record-breaking game on July 29 in Thunder Bay. Barrie hit three home runs and drove in seven RBI, setting Rox single-game franchise records in both categories.

No. 1 – Number 1 in Attendance Among Minnesota NWL Teams
Coming in at the top spot in our 2018 Top 10 Moments from the 2018 season was your Rox once again ranking No. 1 among Minnesota Northwoods League teams in total attendance in 2018, seeing nearly 55,000 fans come to the Rock Pile throughout the summer.
