Rochester, MN – St. Cloud (5-7) got a two-run home run from Ben Carew (Kent State) in the top of the tenth inning that helped carry the Rox to a 9-8 win over Rochester (6-6) in extra innings.

The scoring began in the top of the fourth inning as Garrett Delano (Brown) scored on a wild pitch. Tyler Finke (Southeastern Louisiana)  and Garret Nielsen (California) both had RBI hits to put the Rox ahead 3-0.

With the game later tied 3-3 in the top of the seventh inning, Delano drilled a two-run home run over the left field wall to put the Rox ahead 5-3. It was his first home run of the season.

In the top of the eighth inning, after Rochester tied the game 5-5, St. Cloud would once again break the tie with back-to-back RBI base hits from Jordan Barth (Augustana) and Delano to go ahead 7-5.

After Rochester tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rox would reclaim the lead for good. This time it was Carew, who hit a two-run blast over the left field wall to go ahead 9-7. The Rox would end up winning the game by a final score of 9-8.

Trae Robertson (Missouri) gave a strong start for St. Cloud, throwing five innings and striking out six batters while allowing no runs. Gus Radel (Minnesota), Max Rippl (Kent State) and Kevin Davis (USC Upstate) all saw action out of the bullpen. Blake Stelzer (Concordia-St. Paul) earned the win after pitching the tenth inning.
