St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox announced today that the organization will be returning two key members from the 2019 season. The players are 2019 Rox Pitcher of the Year Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State University) and 2019 Team Most Valuable Player Jordan Barth (Augustana University).

“Jordan and Trevor’s stats from last season don’t lie, they were fantastic,” Rox Vice-President and Co-Owner Scott Schreiner said. “We are extremely excited to have two of our leaders back.  They are both great players to build a roster around for this upcoming season.”

Koenig, a junior left-handed pitcher at St. Cloud State University, returns to the Rox following the 2019 season where he was selected as a Midseason and Postseason Northwoods League All-Star. He made 10 regular season starts on the mound while posting a 1.35 earned run average. Koenig tied the Rox single season record for wins with a 7-2 record in 60 innings pitched. The St. Cloud native was drafted in the 40th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers before electing to attend St. Cloud State University.

Barth is a junior infielder at Augustana University returning following the 2019 season where he was selected to the Postseason Northwoods League All-Star team. He appeared in 71 regular season games while leading the team with a .323 batting average. The Cold Spring native set numerous Rox single season records including hits (99), doubles (25), extra base hits (32), total bases (144) and runs scored (54).

Rox Field Manager Augie Rodriguez and the Rox organization will continue to build the roster for the 2020 season.

The Rox will open their ninth season of Northwoods League baseball in 2020.
