ST. CLOUD – The St. Cloud Rox will celebrate the organization’s 10th anniversary season during the upcoming 2021 season. Rox Baseball called St. Cloud home from 1946 to 1971 as minor league affiliates of the Giants, Cubs, and Twins. The Rox returned to St. Cloud in 2012 as a member of the Northwoods League.
“This celebration brings back rich parts of Rox history.” Said Creative Director William Meyerhoff. “The logo has hints of the past and present is subtle ways. The number has the same pattern as the main Rox logo which really makes it pop. Another subtle design was having the angles of letters and numbers. Sharp angles in letters are at 71 degrees to show homage to the last season (1971) the Rox were in St. Cloud prior to their return in 2012. Slighter angles in fonts are at 17 degrees to symbolize the year the Rox won their first Northwoods League Championship.”
The St. Cloud Rox open their 2021 season in Thunder Bay against the Boarder Cats on May 31st. The home opener is Friday, June 4th presented by Coborn’s. There will be post-game fireworks. Get a complete game schedule here.
