ST. CLOUD, MN – The St. Cloud Rox (20-11) earned a game one victory against the Minot Hot Tots (6-23) with a 1-0 final score, Friday, June 30th. In the Great Plains West division, the Rox sit among the top teams in the division.

The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Kolby Gartner. Gartner earned the 1st win of his Rox career pitching a gem, a perfect game into the 6th inning. Gartner totaled 7.0 innings pitched with 6 strikeouts, giving up just four baserunners. The right-handed arm has 21.0 innings pitched this season with a 1.29 ERA, tallying 15 strikeouts.

Kyle Jackson batted in the lone run of the day for St. Cloud, knocking home Ben Vujovich for the difference-maker. Jackson has 16 RBI this season, the 3rd best mark on the roster. Ben Vujovich reached on a fielder’s choice. Vujovich scored for the 20th time this season, ranking 2nd on the roster in runs scored. John Nett was the lone batter with multiple hits in the victory, tacking on a stolen base. That was Nett’s 8th stolen base on the year and the 35th of his Rox career.

Owen Marsh was the first arm out of the bullpen, facing four batters in the 8th inning and leaving the Hot Tots hitless. Mason Olson made his Rox debut, shutting down the show in the 9th, tallying two strikeouts.
