DULUTH, MN – The St. Cloud Rox (24-14) took game four of a four-game series against the Duluth Huskies (17-19) with a 6-4 final score, Friday, July 7th. The Rox have three wins over four games in the second half.

The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Piercen McElyea. McElyea made his team-leading 6th start for the Rox, with 5.0 innings pitched and three strikeouts, giving up just two earned runs. Over a team-high 33.1 innings pitched, McElyea has tallied 27 strikeouts with a 1.89 ERA.

Kyle Jackson continues to impress in his 1st season in St. Cloud, tallying a home run and two walks while driving in a run and scoring three times. Jackson has drawn 31 walks this season, tied for the league-leading mark. His 27 runs scored are also tied for the team high. Anthony Mata had two hits, a walk, and three RBI, driving in two runs in the 6thinning to extend the lead for St. Cloud. Jackson Hauge reached base twice in the victory, scoring once.

Garrett Mclaughlin got through 2.0 innings pitched, with his defense turning a double play in both the 6th and the 7thinnings. Andrew Morones struck out two batters while working through the 8th inning for St. Cloud. Micah Ashman brought the win home in the 9th inning, striking out three batters in his 2nd appearance.
