ST. CLOUD, MN – The St. Cloud Rox (28-16) took game two of a two-game series against the Mankato MoonDogs (26-19) with a 1-0 final score, Friday, July 14^th. The Rox sit in first place in the Great Plains West division during the second half.

The winning pitcher for St. Cloud was Piercen McElyea. McElyea continued his incredible pace, throwing 6.0 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. Over seven starts this season, McElyea has 39.1 innings with 34 strikeouts and a lights-out 1.60 ERA.

Kyle Jackson drove in the lone run for St. Cloud on an infield single. The RBI was Jackson’s 25^th, the 3^rd best mark on the roster. Brady Prewitt had two doubles in the victory, coming in to score in the 5^th inning. Prewitt’s seven doubles this season are the 2^nd most for St. Cloud. Jackson Hauge tallied a hit and a walk. Hauge has hits in 12 of his last 13 games for the Rox, with eight extra-base hits over that span.

Alex Ramos was the first arm out of the bullpen, shutting down the MoonDogs with two strikeouts in the 6^th inning. Micah Ashman got the Rox out of the 7^th, putting down the Mankato bats in order. Mason Olson continued his dominance as a closer for St. Cloud, notching his 5^th save of the season and striking out three batters.
