MINOT, ND – The St. Cloud Rox (30-17) grabbed game one of a two-game series against the Minot Hot Tots (12-35) with an 11-4 final score, Tuesday, July 18^th. The Rox sit in first place in the Great Plains West division during the second half.

The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Evan Esch. In his first start, Esch struck out two batters in 1.0 inning of work. Esch has 21 strikeouts in 18.1 innings pitched over eight appearances, with multiple strikeouts in seven appearances.

John Nett reached base three times, stealing two bases, and scoring once. Nett has a team-high 21 stolen bases this season, and 48 career stolen bases for St. Cloud over two seasons. Davis Cop reached base three times, scoring twice and batting in a run. Cop has reached base 16 times over his first seven games with the Rox, driving in five runs. Kyle Jackson scored three times, drawing two walks and a hit by pitch. Jackson leads the team in runs scored (35) and walks (38) this season.

Gavin Jacobsen was the first arm out of the bullpen, with 2.0 innings pitched and a strikeout. Jacobsen has gone multiple innings in each of his three appearances. Owen Marsh worked through a game-high 4.0 innings, holding the Hot Tots scoreless and striking out three batters. Marsh has a 3.49 ERA through 23.2 innings pitched over 11 appearances this season. Brandon Jaenke powered through the 8^th inning, striking out three batters. Chris Brown pitched the 9^th inning for St. Cloud, striking out a batter.
