The Rox beat the Willmar Stingers 2-1 in extras, on Saturday (6/6) at Joe Faber Field. William Meyerhoff (St. Cloud State) pitched a gem against the Stingers going eight innings with 17 strikeouts. Jeff Haag (University of Iowa) went 1-2 with an RBI in the sixth inning to give the Rox a 1-0 lead. Willmar tied it up in the 9th inning with a solo home run by Ryan Voz (Alexandria). In the top of the tenth, Rachel Thiesse (Mankato State) hit a solo home run with two outs to take the lead and Jordan Barth (Augustana) shut down the doors in the bottom of the tenth striking out the three batters he faced.
