STARTING PITCHING TURN-AROUND

The Rox starting pitching to start the season has been sporadic, but the last few games, starters have begun to eat innings, set up the solid Rox bullpen, and put them in position to win games. Last night’s starter Brigden Parker went five innings of one-run ball in the Rox victory. Two games prior, Kaden Pfeffer went six innings in his second quality start of the season. And the game prior to Pfeffer’s start, Hunter Day went four strong innings as well.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Last night was the second time this season where a Rox starter went five or more innings and the offense scored 10 or more runs. The first was game two in Bismarck where Kaden Pfeffer went another six strong innings, and the Rox scored eleven in route to a victory over the Larks. The Rox have scored 25 runs over their last four games, have allowed 21, and are 2-2 in that span.

PROBABLE STARTERS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

ROX- Piercen McElyea is set to make his second start of the season. His first start did not go as planned as he departed after 1/3 of an inning where he allowed nine earned runs, walked three, and allowed four hits. The former NWL All-Star will look to rebound and get back to his winning ways on Saturday evening.

MINOT- Archer Stankowski is prepared to start for the Tots. It will be his first start of the year as he came out of the bullpen in his first appearance of the season. Stankowski pitched two and one-thirds of an inning where he struck out two, walked one, and allowed four runs and five hits while also surrendering three extra-base hits in his outing.
