HOME COOKIN’

The Rox return home for what will be their longest homestand of the season as they will play ten straight games at home over two weeks with the all-star break in-between the series’. The Rox are 13-7 at the rockpile this summer and have outscored opponents 150-96 in those 20 ballgames. The Rox offense has also enjoyed success at home this year as they have batted their way to an .842 OPS. Conversely, the pitching has a 4.45 ERA at Joe Faber field this season and has struck out 193 of their 431 total strikeouts at home in seven less games.

PROBABLE STARTERS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

STC- Hunter Day is expected to make the start for the Rox tonight as they kick off this two-week long homestand. Day has pitched his way through tough jams all throughout this season and has picked up 13 strikeouts in his 28 innings of work. Day’s last start came in the first game of a double-header last Wednesday when his outing was cut short due to rain where he allowed two runs on three innings of work as the Rox won 19-6 over Bismarck.

BBS- Jacoby Nold is scheduled to make the start for the Big Sticks tonight. This is will be his second appearance of the summer and first appearance since July 12 where he went one-third of an inning against Minot. He pitched at the University of Concordia-Moorhead this spring where he started in eight ballgames and pitched his way to a 4.54 ERA while striking out 32, walking 10 and allowing 39 base knocks in 39.2 innings pitched.
