POWER PROWESS
St. Cloud hit three home runs last night vs Mankato. Austin Haley hit his third of the year to left to pad his lead atop the leaderboards in Rox stats. Dominic Smaldino made his first appearance of the season and launched two long balls, including one off of the scoreboard in left field. The Rox are second in the Northwoods League with 12 home runs, while also sitting third in SLG%, as well as second in ISO%.
PROBABLE STARTERS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
STC- Wesley Johnson will get the ball for his third start of the season and his first at Joe Faber Field. The Sartell native has started two games this season, and holds an ERA of 5.59 while also having struck out seven batters (four in his last start.) During his high school career, he was three-time All-Conference, three-time All-Section, All-State, Academic All-State and was named Team Captain. He posted a 1.45 ERA with 157 strikeouts through 174 innings pitched.
BIS- Sean Carey will make his second start of the season for Bismarck today. Carey last pitched against the Loggers where he went 3.2 innings, struck out two, walked two, and allowed five hits for two runs. In the Spring, Carey pitched across 22.1 innings with Sacramento State University, struck out 15, walked 18, and had a 6.45 ERA.
