LAST TIME OUT
The St. Cloud Rox (34-16) fell just short of a comeback against the Willmar Stingers (28-23) on Sunday, falling 5-4.
In the top of the third, Alex Dupuy (University of Alabama-Birmingham) drove in a run to tie up the game at 1-1.
St. Cloud would respond in the fifth inning to even up the game again at 3-3 by scoring two runs, with the tying run courtesy of an Augusto Mungarrieta (University of Kansas) RBI double.
Ethan Gibson (Virginia Tech) led off the top of the ninth inning with a solo home run to pull the game within one run, but the rally fell just short as Willmar was victorious 5-4.

STC- Fourth year Rox pitcher Hunter Day starts game two for St. Cloud. Day holds an ERA of 3.80 in his eight starts with a career-high 36 strikeouts and only 13 walks. He has allowed 51 hits across. 47.1 innings pitched this season. In his last start, he went five innings with one strikeout and two walks with two runs allowed.
WIL- Ethan Stade will start the series finale for Willmar. Stade’s ERA is 3.60 across ten innings with two starts. He has struck out 15, walked two, and allowed just ten hits across those frames. Each of his starts have been five innings with two runs given up and he has struck out eight and seven across those appearances.
