The Rox return to Joe Faber Field this weekend. Last season, the club held a record of 27-7 in their home ballpark. The Rox have enjoyed success at the rockpile throughout their history, as they also own a cumulative record of 274 wins and 154 losses, good for a .640 winning percentage.

 

PROJECTED PITCHERS

ROX- Piercen McElyea makes his first start of the 2024 campaign tonight. McElyea was a Northwoods League All-Star Last season when he compiled a stat line of a 3.00 ERA combined with 64 strikeouts, 27 walks, and a WHIP of 1.10 in 60 innings. This season at Tarleton State, McElyea pitched 53 and two-thirds innings where he struck out 49 batters.

HUSKIES- Jackson Smith makes his season debut for the Huskies as well. He did not pitch in spring ball this year. In the 2023 season, he made 21 appearances for Kankakee Junior College, including 4 starts. In those games he pitched 44 combined innings, allowed 35 earned runs, struck out 34 and walked 22 batsmen.
