2024 STATS COMPARISON

 HISTORIC SEASON IN ST. CLOUD

Throughout the 2024 regular season the Rox have set several franchise records as well as some individual marks as well. The Rox set team records for Home Runs (65), runs scored (494) stolen bases (174), team SLG% (.418) and team OPS (.807). Jackson Hauge (Kansas) set two individual records for St. Cloud this season as well with his 12 long balls and SLG% of .597 both of which are highs for an individual player in a single season in franchise history. Last night, Ben Higdon tied Jackson Hauge for the team lead in long-balls as well. Sawyer Smith (Kansas) also tied the single season stolen base record with his 30 swipes on the season.

STARTING PITCHING POWER

The Rox starting pitching over the last three games has been nothing short of phenomenal. Dallin Harrison started game one of the series and went six innings of one earned-run baseball. Ty Bothwell got the ball for game two and went 7.2 innings of two-run ball. Lastly, Hunter Day started game three for the Rox and threw eight scoreless innings for St. Cloud in the series win over Willmar. Rox starters have combined for 21.2 Innings pitched and only allowed three earned runs in the series vs the best offense in the NWL.

DÉJÀ VU

This is the second straight season that the Rox are facing LaCrosse in the Great plains championship. Last season, St. Cloud pulled out a 9-8 victory as Ben Vujovich singled home two and the Rox walked off the Loggers to advance to the NWL title game. Noah Greise scored the winning run for St. Cloud in that game and Carter Hanson walked to load the bases.

PROBABLE STARTERS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

STC- 2024 All-Star Phil Brennaman gets the rock for the great plains championship at the RockPile tonight. Brennman sports a 4.17 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 36.2 innings. He brings championship prestige to this contest as he won the Sun Belt regular season title with Lousiana-Lafayette in 2023.

LAC- Myles Dismute will get the start for the Loggers as they meet the Rox for the first time since last years Great Plains title game. Dismute brings a 9.28 ERA to the table in 10.2 innings and has allowed 14 hits over those frames. Dismute sports a 1.97 WHIP and will be making his first start of the 2024 campagin.
