Eau Claire, WI — The Rox played their 72nd game of the regular season Sunday night, but ended it in a 7-0 defeat to the Express. They had nothing to win or lose going into the final 9 innings before postseason play after the MoonDogs clinched home field advantage. Eau Claire ended up winning the 2nd half title and subsequently set itself up with a home playoff game tomorrow versus Mankato, despite it clinching the best overall record.

Tonight, only Matthew Tarantino (Pacific) the teams co-MVP tallied multiple hits, including his 14th double of the year in the 9th inning. BYU teammates Daniel Schneemann and Keaton Kringlen added a hit along with Mason Mamarella (Kent State) and Angelo Altavilla (Nebraska). 

The Rox now gear up to face Willmar tomorrow night at home at 7:05 PM. Northwoods League Pitcher of the Year Aaron Rozek (Minnesota State-Mankato) faces the Stingers for the 2nd time. On July 31st he threw 7 scoreless innings at Bill Taunton Stadium. In the season sereis, the Rox won 5 of the 8 games, including the last game of the season series which featured a 20-3 blowout win on August 1st.
