Thunder Bay, ON – Jack Barrie (Northwestern Ohio) belted three home runs, including a grand slam, and recorded seven RBI in St. Cloud’s 13-11 win. He broke the Rox record for most home runs and RBI in a game. St. Cloud swept Thunder Bay over the weekend to increase their win streak to three games.

Barrie started the scoring in the second inning, drilling a solo home run to left field. Thunder Bay responded the next half inning to tie the game at one.

Following a leadoff single from Bobby Seymour (Wake Forest), Barrie crushed his second home run to left field. Ben Carew (Kent State) and Connor Aube (UT-Arlington) hit RBI in the fourth inning as well. The inning was topped off with Sean Ross (San Diego State) scoring on an error.

Following a two-run fifth inning, which featured a sac-fly from both Hance Smith (California) and Ross, the Rox put up four runs in the inning. All of them were courtesy of Barrie, who hit a grand slam to left field. A sac-fly from Seymour in the seventh brought in the 13th run of the game for St. Cloud.

Jake Stevenson (Minnesota) earned the win for the Rox, hurling five innings and striking out three batters. Kyle Richardson (Texas A&M), Carlo Graffeo (Minnesota State-Mankato), and Joey Stock (St. John’s) all pitched an inning in relief work. Erik Martinez (California) earned the save for the Rox, making it consecutive saves in the series.

St. Cloud now opens a two-game home series with the La Crosse Loggers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM at the Rock Pile. It’s Rox Trading Card Set Giveaway presented by Rengel Printing.
