To be eligible, students must be receiving academic credit from their college or university.

Summer Internships

Summer internships will start in May. Interns will learn the ins and outs of a full baseball season and get the opportunity to work in all aspects of the business (ticket sales, marketing, media, game day preparation and entertainment, etc). We're seeking energetic, driven individuals who are looking to advance their careers in the sports industry. These positions are unpaid.

Ticket Sales

The Bismarck Larks are offering a Ticket Sales Internship available to students wishing to pursue a career in ticket sales. The internship will begin in May and conclude in August. Our interns will acquire real-world work experience in the sports industry.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Contacting qualified sales leads to generate ticket sales revenue through season ticket, group outings and mini plans
  • Prospecting and creating for new clients in season tickets, groups and hospitality events
  • Handling customer service and ticketing issues
  • Attending/staffing additional outside events (community relations)
  • Work in to box office on game nights assisting fans with walk-up sales
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Availability to work all games and events
  • Must be a team player with strong leadership skills 

  • Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have a positive “can‐do” attitude
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Customer Service & Management experience preferred
  • Self‐ motivated and ability to take initiative 

  • Skills with various power tools, and in different maintenance areas is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
  • The ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours and lift 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Detail oriented and organized

Game-Day Operations

The Bismarck Larks are offering a Game-Day Operations Internship available to students wishing to pursue a career in Operations. The internship will begin in May and conclude in August. Our interns will acquire real-world work experience in the sports industry.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Assist with concessions location oversight
  • Assist with Game Day Staff / Concession Employee Management
  • Food & beverage inventory & tracking for assigned areas
  • Assist with food & beverage re-orders
  • Assist with scheduling & payroll of concessions employees
  • Food & beverage waste management & tracking
  • Ensure food quality control
  • Assist with the quality control of ballpark cleaning and maintenance, including preemptive maintenance

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Availability to work all games and events
  • Must be a team player with strong leadership skills 

  • Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have a positive “can‐do” attitude
  • Previous internship or job in ballpark operations is a plus but not required

Video Production Director

The Bismarck Larks are offering a Video Production Internship available to students wishing to pursue a career in Video Production. The internship will begin in May and conclude in August. Our interns will acquire real-world work experience in the sports industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including correct grammatical usage

Description of Responsibilities:

Every Bismarck Baseball game will be broadcasted live (audio and video) over the Internet on NorthwoodsLeague.tv, larksbaseball.com through an upgraded hi-definition and extensive 4-camera video production setup. The team will have 36 home games in the regular season, beginning late May thru mid-August. Training will be provided.

Media/Video Production

The Bismarck Larks are offering a Media/Video Production Internship available to students wishing to pursue a career in Media/Video Production. The internship will begin in May and conclude in August. Our interns will acquire real-world work experience in the sports industry.

Description of Responsibilities:

Every Bismarck Baseball game will be broadcasted live (audio and video) over the Internet on NorthwoodsLeague.tv, larksbaseball.com through an upgraded hi-definition and extensive 4-camera video production setup. The team will have 36 home games in the regular season, beginning late May thru mid-August.

Each four-camera broadcast will include two manually operated cameras and two remote control operated PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras. A PTZ camera will be located both behind home plate and in centerfield while the manually operated cameras will be stationed near first base and third base.

Video/Media interns will be responsible for writing and producing interesting player specific stories during the season. Stories will be posted in game day programs, the team web site, and social media outlets. Video/Media interns are also required to assist the Video Production Director in the making of commercials, conducting player/coach interviews, as-well-as updating the team’s website as needed, utilizing social media, and creating on and off the field stories about the team.
