The Bismarck Larks moved to 2-0 on the 2020 season on Tuesday night, as they beat the Mandan Flickertails 9-0. Brant Schaffitzel (Drury) led the Larks at the plate, going 1-3 with four RBI while drawing three walks. Connor Henriques (Santa Clara University) went 1-4 at the plate, scoring three runs and driving in one run. On the mound, Seth Brewer (Northern State) had a masterful performance, going four strong innings, allowing just two hits and recording seven strikeouts. As a team, the Larks recorded 10 strikeouts, with Yassir Kahoon (University of Toledo) recording one and Zach Reeder (Baker) striking out two Flickertails in two innings of work.

Jared Wegner (Creighton) led the Flickertails at the plate, going 2-4 with a single to right in the third and an infield single in the fifth. Damone Hale (Yavapai CC) went 1-2 at the plate, while reaching base three times, including the first inning when he was hit by a pitch and recorded his third stolen base of the season.

The Flickertails, who are now 0-2 on the season, will be back in action on Wednesday when they face the Bismarck Bull Moose, who will be making their season debut. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
